Q) How do I get access to this site?
A) We have a lot of proprietary information on Search and Rescue, dog training, and etc. Therefore, access to this site is limited to people that are either part of our team, or interested in joining our team. Use the register link in the upper right corner. Please contact the administrator for help.
Q) Can I call you to help find a friend or family member?
A) We do not answer the call of individuals or families because this could interfere in a police investigation or a search may have been called off for the safety of the searchers. If called by police, firefighters, or emergency management agencies we respond and will answer as a team.
Q) Can I volunteer?
A) For more information on Volunteer Opportunities contact us! We'd be happy to hear from you! (224) 715-4146.
Q) What kind of dog do I need to have?
A) Actually, you don't need a dog to be a part of our team. We have a few volunteer opportunities that don't require owning a dog. However, if you want to be a K9 unit on our team you will need a dog that belongs to the "working class." Contact us for more information.
Q) What volunteer opportunities do you have on your team?
A) You can be a K9 Unit. You can be a radio/communications specialist. You can be a ground search specialist. You can be an Operations Leader, thereby in charge of base camp operations. You can be an honorary member by helping us with training locations, marketing, and or donations. And of-course, we're always looking for people that can help be "subjects" for our dogs to find during training.
Q) What kind of searches do you do?
A) Traditionally, we've been a 'wilderness search and rescue team.' Therefore, we have more than a few members that are wilderness certified. However, we now have members that are in process of getting certified for Human Remains Detection, Water, and Urban SAR. We cross train on a regular basis with HRD, Water, and Urban teams.
